Overhead crane can travel on top of runway, so it’s also called bridge crane. There is also another type of overhead crane called single girder underhung/suspension crane. It travels under the runway which is fixed on roof of plant. With single girder overhead crane, you can achieve six motions: up, down, left, right, forward,back.
